Desiccated 8 is part of my Desiccated Series which explores desertification in the American West. The abstract landscapes come out of the beauty I see and the sense of loss I feel in these drastically changing landscapes. The idea for Desiccated 8 was first sketched while I was camping in Capitol Reef National Park.
